Went to the beach at 10pm to see the sunset. Found this beautiful location, where a small pond merged with the bay. Mixed with a long shutter speed, it turned out nicely.

Abandoned as a baby, Almaz were adopted by a woman who owned a hotel and had a bit of money, in the otherwise poor Ethiopia. When she was 7 years old, she was run over, after a year in the hospital with both legs cut off and no sign of the woman, her luck changed and a Danish doctor in Ethiopia, had heard about this unfortunate little girl and adopted her, made her some new protheses. The civil war in Ethiopia a few years later, made the family move back to Denmark and they took Almaz with them, fast forward and today Almaz is a politician, triathlete, mother and doing a lot of voluntary work.

A dark, almost black cloud suddenly emerged on the horizon as we were approaching Samsø, Denmark on a sunny summer day. Minutes later the sun disappeared, the rain smashed against my face and the wind speed tripled in a matter of seconds. All hands on deck! When we had regained control of our sails, I spotted a boat in trouble in the distant and took this photo. We made it safely to port, and the picture was forgotten. Half a year later, while battling a depression, I refound it and edited it as a way to express my feelings. I can only hope that the other sailors made it through as well.

As part of another Thrashville trip, we stopped off in a wooden shelter near the coast on the small island of Fyn, Denmark. After a long day of riding, we were cold to bone until this little baby warmed us up.

A bright, orange sunset got me and my friend to pack our backs and drive to some incredibly bright, yellow and green wheat fields near a local forest “Boserup”.

This is one of the amazing replica wooden boats at Roskilde Viking Centre. The history is unbelievable, literally underneath the vistor’s centre they’ve dug up wooden boats several thousand years old.

I’m crazy enough to waltz into a deer park at 3am just to be alone with these beauties. Over the years I’ve learnt a few tricks when it comes to stalking deer in the park. Persistence is key - they will keep running from you - but use the wind to your advantage to cover as much ground as possible. When you run against the wind, especially if the leaves of the trees are rustling, they won’t hear you coming!

The Hermitage Hunting Lodge (danish: Eremitageslottet) is a small Royal castle in a large common, Dyrehaven, a couple of kilometers north of Copenhagen. I went there on an evening walk. It was pitch dark, so I had to make a very long exposure. Interestingly, the colors in the image turned reddish.
